An extension to JScreenFix deluxe is in development that uses a photograph of the damage to estimate screen usage. The proposed software solution displays a white image on the plasma screen. A photo of the screen displaying the white image must be taken and transferred to the software. The software analyses the photo and produces an optimised image for negating the screen burn.
