Why has my licence changed back to evaluation?
This can be caused by the following:
- JScreenFix deluxe was not launched from the start menu, but from a browser other than that used to install JScreenFix.
- The licence id has been lost or changed by a cleanup program.
- Java WebStart has failed to maintain the custom, licenced .jnlp file and has downloaded a new one (cause not isolated).
Automatic fix
Please enter your licence id (found in the email you recieved after purchasing JScreenFix deluxe or the Product name within the PayPal payment) below to create a customised laucher which will overrided incorrect licence information
Manual Fix
To force use of your purchased licence, perform the following:
- Click Start, All Programs, JScreenFix and right click JScreenFix deluxe and choose properties.
- In the target box, copy the text within quotes (after javaws.exe).
- Launch Notepad and choose File, Open.
- Paste the text into the file name field and click Open
- Locate the application argument (towards the bottom) and modify the value starting with id= to match the id in the email you received after purchasing.
- Launch JScreenFix deluxe, it will now use your purchased licence.
To avoid Java WebStart altogether and run standalone, perform the following
- Download the standalone jar file.
- Download this batch file to the same location.
- Right click on the batch file and choose edit.
- Replace LICENCE_ID within the batch file with your licence id. (Your licence id can be located in the email you received after purcahsing a licence)
- Launch JScreenFix deluxe by double clicking the batch file. You may also create a shortcut to the batch file on your desktop, or the startup folder for your convenience.
